Who is she?
Ultimately, a storyteller! Some days I tell stories from a stage, some from a screen, some from a speaker, and others from a pen and paper. No matter the medium, I strive to collaborate on stories that inspire curiosity, shed light on new perspectives, and bring hope and empathy, all for love. That's why I'm committed to the pledge I signed at bwayforblm.com and weseeyouwat.com.
Born in Las Vegas, NV, I discovered my love for performing as a toddler, thanks to the inspiration of my dad’s punk rock band (listen to their music here along with some of my originals). I sang, wrote songs, and danced my little heart out at school, church and at home with my little sisters until I was dragged to drama club in 7th grade and discovered theatre. I then attended Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as a Theatre major where I decided to pursue acting professionally. Most of my teen years were also spent as a vocalist on worship bands, which is something I continue to do as part of my church, Hillsong NYC’s, choir.
At NYU, I produced my own scripts (read and watch them here) and collaborated on new musicals written by students of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, originating two title roles (Medusa and The Glass Girl). I debuted original music & lyrics in the Tisch Mainstage production of Polaroid Stories (Philomel) and ended my college career with a bang in New Studio on Broadway's production of HAIR (Dionne).
Since graduating, I’ve worked on several short films and developing musicals in NYC, and have performed at Feinstein's/ 54 Below, The Duplex, and Two River Theater. In August 2019, I made my Off-Broadway debut in Rose's War at Teatro LATEA as part of the RAVE Theater festival.
As I have sought creative ways to stay creative in 2020 (and after battling Covid-19 myself), I have returned to my first love of music and started to cook up my first EP. Look out for it soon!
Keep up with my work here and on social media!
